Brown Bread Dahi Wada

Ingredients

Brown bread (one slice)

Curd (one cup full)

Powdered sugar (½ tbsp.)

Cumin and coriander powder (one pinch each)

Red chilli powder (as per taste)

Salt to taste

Procedure:

Mix the sugar and salt as per you’re taste in the curd. Mix this well to get a thin batter like consistency. Place the bread slice in the plate and pour the curd over it and spread it over the bread slice equally. To this add coriander powder, cumin powder and red chilli powder one pinch each.

Variations: You may add sweet and sour tamarind paste and green chili paste (with mint and coriander) Garnish with coriander

Why should you make this?

Preparation time is 5 minutes

Brown bread is a good source of fiber

Makes stomach full

Curd is a very good source of calcium

I prepare this while I crave for dahi vada . The Urid daal dahi vada is oily. This gets replaced with brown bread and the preparation time is very less. Moreover the number of ingredients is few. You may have it as  a snack at 4.00 pm or even in breakfast when you are bored to have the regular Brown Bread Vegetable Sandwich or Brown Bread with omlet.
