Oats and Besan Cheela

It is always a question for a person on diet what to eat and what not. They are constantly searching for low-calorie food that will make their stomach full.  Here I come up with one more recipe which is my Mother’s invention perfect for breakfast or even dinner.

Gram flour
                  Gram flour


Oats :1/2 cup

Besan / Gram flour: ½ cup

Grated cucumber :1/4 cup

Chopped Onion: ¼ cup

Garlic cloves : 2-3 smashed

Salt to taste

Red chilli powder as desired

Oil/ Ghee for cooking : 1 tbsp

Sesame seeds: for sprinkling

Take a bowl and add all the ingredients to it. Make it into a loose dove. Set it free for 5 minutes. Take a non stick pan. Add oil/ ghee . While the pan and the oil/ ghee becomes hot, spread the dove on the pan with your hand. Use water to avoid the dough to stick to your fingers. Thereafter when the dough is spread evenly , make a small hole with your finger in between as shown in the picture. Add some oil in this hole. Cover this with lid for 2-3 minutes then change side to cook it evenly. Good to eat with ketchup or any other chutney of your choice or even curd.

Makes stomach full Oats are high in fiber Gram flour is high in protein

When to have?

This is great to have for breakfast or during dinner .
